History of our 1967 Mustang

We do not know much of the beginning of our Mustang's life. What we do know is what we can decipher from its VIN. From that we have the dates from some signifigant events in our mustangs history. She was the 21,326th scheduled to built in San Jose, California. Originally she came from the factory with a 200-1V engine and C-4 Select-Shift Cruise-O-Matic Transmission and was painted Frost Turquoise. She was sold from California Motors, in Glendale California. She was purchased on December 24th 1966, so chances are she was Christmas present for some lucky person. At some point she was repainted to the beautiful blue color she is today. After that we do not have much info until she made her way here to Newfoundland.
Her story now jumps to 1999 when she was brought up from California by Bob Ford, Melvin and Anita Guzwell bought it from Bob Ford and it was restored by Bob during the winter 2000 / 2001. This restorations included repainting the doors after some minor rust repair, Engine swap to 302 V8 2V, replacement transmission and rear end. Radiator was recored and hoses lines replaced, new brake lines and flex hoses, new exhaust system, rebuilt alternator, new front springs, new shocks, Interior all new, new bumpers and new door handles.
Melvin and Anita had the mustang until August 27th, 2005. On that day the mustang became part of our family. To make a long story short the Mustang was a wedding gift from my brother Jeremy. We have been enjoying cruising around in it ever since. We now have a daughter Joan she is 2 years old at this point and she loves the car as much as I do. She tells everyone her favorite car is a mustang , that it is blue and it is a 1967 and if you ask her who owns it she says it is hers. This mustang is part of our family and is here to stay.
